What another great Playday! Thank you to all parents/carers who bought their children along ! Thanks to all activity holders and caterers and to all the volunteer staff who support the day each year! Approximately 7000 children attended this free fun packed day!!!

What is Playday?
Playday is the national day for play, traditionally held on the first Wednesday in August 10am - 3pm. Providing funding can be found the event will happen again in 2017- watch this space!
Now in its 29th year, Playday is the biggest play sector event in the UK, and possibly Europe! As well as a celebration of children's right to play, Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children's lives. Playday is coordinated by Play England, in partnership with Play Wales, Play Scotland and PlayBoard Northern Ireland

Apex Park Playday 2016 was another huge success with record visitor numbers
The free Apex Park Playday held on Wednesday 3rd August 2016 despite some pretty windy weather. The organisers esitmate 7000 children attend this years event - and that's not counting the adults!

This year’s activities included model boats, inflatables, a climbing wall, drumming, facepainting, zorbs, rugby-tots and table tennis amongst many others! Playday also allows families to spend quality time together having a picnic and exploring one of Sedgemoor’s best-known and loved parks.
